Social influences and acceptability of the practice of family planning among Port-Bouët II women in Yopougon, Côte d'Ivoire.

Considered an effective strategy for improving socio-economic and demographic development indicators, the practice of family planning is still low in Côte d'Ivoire. The objective of this research is to determine the factors that can contribute to raising the adherence rate of women of childbearing age to the practice of family planning. The study took place in Yopougon. 212 women aged 15 to 45 were interviewed using a questionnaire. SPSS software is used for data processing, in particular the calculation of the Chi square. The results indicate on the one hand that the opinion of the partner significantly influences the woman in her practice of family planning. On the other hand, health workers are the most important and effective source of significant information in raising awareness about the practice of family planning.
