Article Processing Fees

RASP is a fully open access journal. All published articles are made immediately and permanently free to read and download.

To support this model, an article processing charge (APC) is required. This fee contributes to the editorial process, platform maintenance, and long-term accessibility of published content.

APC structure

  • Total APC: FCFA 60,000 (≈ $120)
    • FCFA 30,000 – evaluation fee
    • FCFA 30,000 – publication fee (only if accepted)

Important clarifications

  • The evaluation fee is not paid at submission. Payment instructions are sent by email only after initial editorial screening, and only if the manuscript is not desk rejected. This avoids unnecessary payments for authors.
  • The publication fee is required only if the article is accepted after peer review.
  • All payments are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the editorial process.
  • Payment of the APC does not guarantee publication. All manuscripts undergo a strict editorial and peer-review process. Learn more about the publishing policies here 
  • APC payments can be made by the authors or on their behalf (e.g., institution, funder).
